uGMRT Discovers Rare Pulsar and Puts Einstein to Test - 17 September 2025

A team of astronomers led by a graduate student from NCRA-TIFR, Jyotirmoy Das, using India’s upgraded Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (uGMRT), has discovered the first pulsar in the ancient star cluster Messier 80 (M80), also known as NGC 6093.
